Our Greek Spur-Thighed Tortoises are a popular choice due to their friendly nature, manageable size, and hardy temperament. With their stunning natural markings and curious personalities, they make a great addition to any reptile-loving home.

These tortoises are herbivores, thriving on a diet of leafy greens such as dandelion, kale, endive, and other safe vegetables. A calcium supplement is recommended to support healthy shell growth.

They require a warm, dry environment with access to a basking area (around 30–35°C) and a cooler end to allow for proper temperature regulation. UVB lighting is essential for their health, helping with calcium absorption and overall wellbeing. A secure indoor enclosure or outdoor pen (weather permitting) works well, with dry substrate and hiding areas.

Greek Spur-Thighed Tortoises are known for their longevity and can live 40–60+ years with proper care, making them a long-term commitment and a very rewarding pet.
